The FLMM is exploring how to build a highly skilled, resilient and adaptable labour force where workers and employers are equipped to adjust to technological changes, demographic shifts, and future labour market disruptions. Key areas of work include :
- testing new approaches to encourage employer-supported training to strengthen recruitment and productivity.
- establishing a common definition of precarious and gig workers and developing effective employment and skills programming to meet their needs.
- enhancing and increasing employment and training supports delivered through digital and virtual technologies.
